One
session was at 7PM and the other at 9PM, menu and show for 10€
only.
The dinner was held at the Rôtisserie Sainte Marthe, 4 rue Sainte
Marthe, 75010, Paris, France.
It was a magical evening! Children and adults came. 43 people
altogether attended the event.
On the 10€ menu: plates of "charcuterie", cheese, tea with three
spices and chocolate.
Tasty wine and fruit juices as supplement: one euro the glass.

here and over there Film Festival" in Peradeniya University

Tea is partners with the Alliance Française of Kandy for the
"Over here and over there Film Festival" that will be held at the
Peradeniya University from 3rd to 6th November 2009
The Alliance Française of Kandy (Sri Lanka) will organize a film
festival in partnership with the Arts Council and Department of
Fine Arts of the University of Peradeniya and Brain Tea organization.
The purpose is to feature quality films and documentaries of Sri Lanka
and the World. We understand others by looking at ourselves and we
understand ourselves by looking at others.
Discussions and debates will take place as well.
Brain Tea has provided a selection of Sri Lankan and World films to be
chosen for the program of this first edition, through the contacts the
organization has with different organizations and film festivals in
France and Sri Lanka.

The event was a success: more than 90 persons attended the event.

Projection
of Sri Lankan Film "Dark Night of the Soul" by Mr Prasanna Vithanage
for the first time in Paris, on Saturday 28th March
Brain Tea has organized the projection of the film "Dark Night of the
Soul", a film by the most recognized contemporary film director of Sri
Lanka, Mr Prasanna Vithanage, for the first time in Paris.
It was held at the "Café Dune" at 3h30 PM Paris Time on
Saturday 28th March. The entrance was free.
Before the film started, a small presentation of Sri Lanka and the
social and political context of the film was done.
After the film, a live discussion with the film director in Sri Lanka
took place through videoconferencing.
Altogether, more than 40 people attended the event that lasted 2h30 in
all.

lankan Film Director Mr Prasanna Vithanage and Brain Tea
Brain Tea will be the french contact for the promotion and
dissemination of Mr Vithanage's films in France.
Mr Vithanage came to meet the Brain Tea members for several days in
Paris after he came back from
Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian
Cinema in February 2009.
It was also the occasion for the Brain Tea members to show him a more
popular and genuine Paris, far away from the tourist clichés.
Interviews of Mr Vithanage were also organized with a few french
journalists.

The INALCO jury of Vesoul film festival attended the event.
It was also the occasion to present briefly the
political and social situation of Sri Lanka and the History
of
Cinema in the island.
A private projection of one of Prasanna's films "Purahanda
Kaluwara" took place after the presentation.
